F: 10/9: Groups of 5: Get into groups and give their rough drafts to class mates in counter clock wise rotation where they will have to read the paper and peer edit the paper accordingly to the timer. Rotate papers atleast 5 times and graded by 5 different peers atleast.
 
M: 10/12: Begin/ End: Land of the dead; Group sections of paper format and students will work in groups of 5 to write accordingly to the piece of the essay in their group.Share their section aloud to class so we can see what a paper should sound/look like in sections.  Ex., thesis, conclusion 
 
T: 10/13: Pass out Hero's Project and review components and important dates, Begin/ end: The Cattle of the Sun God, review and access page 1010
 
W: 10/14: PSAT testing schedule (PAC) All freshman to PAC and those that are testing to 900 Gym
 
Th: 10/15: PTSD:Bell work and class discussion on PTSD. Watch clip of what is PTSD. Students will bridge this back to the odyssey and a hero's journey and how it goes accordingly to hero's in general and in this case soldiers. Hand out PTSD Worksheet and will use this accordingly to the 2nd part of the Odyssey. Begin Part 2 of the odyssey page 1121- stop page 1027 take notes during lecture
 
F: 10/16: Greek Gods Quiz/ Creative Writing/Outside Reading 
 
M: 10/19: Odyssey Review- be able to identify and recognize the (16) list of terms for the unit. Will be handed out in class. Goal is to find 8 definitions in class for the first 15 minutes. When timer is up, students will open their literature books to page 1028- read sections of 'Argus- Suitors'. Students will take notes during and analyze pieces of information from the sections read.

M: 10/26: Odyssey Review- identify the next (8) definitions for first 15 minutes of class. Instructor will check them off after the 15 minutes is up. Students will keep this for study hall for the final for Odyssey. Students will then transition to reading from the Odyssey. Page 1042, 'Finish the rest of where we left off in, 'The Challenge.' ***Stuents will take notes and write a quick reflection on their over all analysis of the epic poem.

T: 10/27: Begin/Finish Penelope on page 1042- end of the epic poem on page 1046. Worksheet from the Odyssey, Odysseus and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. Students will be allowed to work with a parter on this activity for the whole class period to make their diagnosis of Odysseus and if he may or may not have characteristics of this prognosis. Knowing that he is a returned soldier from his 20 year journey,  a warrior from the trojan war. Due Thursday
